Why is PCRM lobbying Congress?

The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) is an animal rights group, not a mainstream medical charity. It's lobbying federal legislators in an attempt to hurt ranchers and other livestock farmers. Despite the word "physicians" in its name, less than 4 percent of the group's members graduated from medical school.

Who’s Killed More Animals?

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) loves to point the finger at others, when they should be looking at their own record of killing more than 90% of the animals left in their care. According to government records PETA has killed more than 14,400 animals since 1998.

Missing seeing eye dog

PETA is so radical that it even opposes seeing eye dogs for the blind. Animal rights groups that go to extremes shouldn't have the right to tell us what to wear, how to live, and what to eat.

PETA employees now face felony animal-cruelty charges for killing puppies and kittens - and throwing them in a dumpster. This news photo shows police preparing to bury a puppy that PETA's "ethical" employees left to rot in the trash.

Warning!

The misnamed Center for Science in the Public Interest has issued warnings about all of the foods listed. Now they ’re calling for warning labels on soft drinks.

Take CSPI recommendations with a grain of salt (only one, of course.) Caution: Use of CSPI information may result in a loss of common sense.

Common Sense Obesity Warning

Some government officials want warning labels on food. Warning labels to 'protect' us.

At the Center for Consumer Freedom, we think adults are smart enough to choose what to eat and when to move. The only warning labels you really need are about food cops, bureaucrats, and scheming trial lawyers.

"Even if animal research resulted in a cure for AIDS, we'd be against it."
-Ingrid Newkirk, President & Co-Founder of PETA

Did you know PETA is using your contributions for a campaign to boycott the March of Dimes, the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (Race for the Cure).
Why? Because these charities may use animals in their medical research.

Confused About Mad Cow?

While anti-meat activists and opponents of modern farming jumped on the only American case of Mad Cow Disease to scare consumers away from beef, the facts tell a more reassuring story.

Harvard scientists say the risk to Americans is "as close to zero as you can get." The chief scientist at the USDA says "the U.S. consumer has every reason to remain confident in the safety of U.S. beef.” So why are professional activists spreading fear and hysteria?
