Polishing the Apple

She's baaack…

Meryl Streep is up to her old tricks again. The "ALARmist" who cost apple growers hundreds of millions of dollars in her (oops!) baseless campaign against the pesticide Alar says that this time she's protecting the fruit growers from consumers!

Or is she? You decide: "My main interest has been… to support growers so they don't get caught short. So they understand that this is a consumer concern that's not going to go away. People are suspicious… of their food sources and that will only increase in the next century." And why do you suppose they're so "suspicious"?
