They always get their man, eh?
Word comes from Canada today that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have raided the home of David Barbarash, who is the self-proclaimed “spokesperson” for the Animal Liberation Front (ALF). According to Barbarash, the Mounties kicked in his door, seized computers and other possessions, and left behind a search warrant that described the raid as part of a joint Canadian-U.S. investigation.

In addition to his duties communicating threats and claims of violence from various cowardly “animal liberators,” Barbarash runs a publicly available Internet mail-order catalog called “Black Cat Distro.” Armed with this delightful resource, any ten-year-old with five dollars and a stamp can order bomb-making manuals, how-to guides on destroying biotech crops, and -- oddly enough -- instruction booklets on how to avoid detection by law enforcement.
