PETA Hooks The Worm

PETA Hooks The Worm People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) picked up another prestigious celebrity endorsement this week when former NBA star Dennis "The Worm" Rodman signed on to the group's anti-fur campaign. The ever-so-ethical Rodman -- who was once forced to pay a fine of $25,000 for kicking a courtside cameraman -- is a perfect fit for an animal rights group that prefers rodents to humans.

This is the same Rodman who is famous for wearing leather pants with his pink boa, eye shadow and silver lipstick. And his newfound fondness for animal "rights" hasn't altered the availability of his autographed official NBA leather basketballs, sold for $215 apiece and ready for shipping within 1-2 business days.

The self-described "complete press sluts" at PETA also went back to the Pamela Anderson publicity-stunt well. Anderson -- whose own hypocrisy extends to helping the animal-rights group which protests against the medical charity working toward a cure for her own hepatitis -- grabbed headlines posing "naked" for an anti-fur billboard the group hopes to get by censors in China.

Let's see ... Ridiculous animal-rights hypocrisy. Pamela Anderson naked. Nothing we haven't seen before.
