Sour Lemmons Propose Fast Food Tax

In May, we told you that Detroiters didn't take kindly to Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's misguided tax aimed at fast food. But that hasn't stopped Michigan father-and-son state legislative team LaMar Lemmons Jr. and LaMar Lemmons III from introducing the same idea -- and their money grab isn't limited to Motown.

The Lemmons' bill proposes a "fast-food restaurant and food service tax" to target "the privilege of selling certain food and beverages." Here's our question: How about a bill that grants consumers the "privilege" to make their own choices without being collared by a new squad of food cops?
