In her new book “The Crazy Makers: How the Food Industry Is Destroying Our Brains,” syndicated radio show host and author Carol Simontacchi says today’s food is somehow responsible for making us depressed, anxious, tense, obsessive, and stupid. Simontacchi’s anti-choice advice is to eat only organic foods and feed kids things like braised celery, dill casserole, and bean muffins. The St. Petersburg Times points out, “If we follow her advice, McDonald’s, Taco Bell and Burger King likely will go bankrupt, and our kids just might run away from home.”
