PETA wants to tell Louisiana taxpayers what they can and cannot do in the public parks they pay for. The animal rights agitators have called on the Louisiana Office of State Parks to ban the “violent activity” of fishing at all state parks in the state that proudly calls itself the Sportsman’s Paradise.
The coordinator of PETA’s “Fishing Hurts” campaign — who does not live in Louisiana — proudly notes that “the agency has already sent gun-toting hunters packing” and argues “fishers should be cast out next.” In this latest effort to force non-meat food choices on Americans, PETA has also called on the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to ban all fishing and hunting in that state’s parks as well.
