Oh mercy: At ChristianMercy.com — owned by PETA — these glowing words about PETA activist Bruce Friedrich can be found: “Friedrich articulates a vision of Gandhian nonviolence… Friedrich is dedicated to the vision of nonviolence that protects life for all people and all creatures… [He] offers a vision of the world that is compassionate and just toward all God’s creatures.”
Of course, when Friedrich speaks for himself, he sounds a bit different. He told an animal-rights crowd last summer that “it would be great if all the fast-food outlets, slaughterhouses, these laboratories and the banks who fund them exploded tomorrow… Hallelujah to the people who are willing to do it” [who are often linked to, and funded by, PETA.] Don’t believe he really said it?
