Greenpeace’s ‘fear factor’

We told you yesterday that Greenpeace Canada has been celebrating Halloween by frightening the public about baby food that’s supposedly “contaminated” with genetically improved ingredients. Now it looks like the Canadian press has decided to respond to the green group’s press release and set the public straight.

In a lead editorial today, the Calgary Herald declares: “There’s no evidence to support Greenpeace’s assertion that genetically modified foods can’t be fed to babies. In fact, Health Canada, which has stringent food safety rules, has approved GM baby foods for consumption.”
