A Declaration of Food Independence

Tomorrow, July 4th, marks the 237th birthday of our great nation, one founded on the ideals  that every man, woman, and child has the unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We here at the Center for Consumer Freedom could not agree more, and believe that the rights to liberty and the pursuit of happiness also extend to consumers having the freedom to choose what they eat and drink.

So just as our Founding Fathers declared America’s independence from King George in 1776, we too now renew our declaration of independence from the freedom-hating Food Police—and we encourage you to as well. Because despite what they may try and force you to accept, remember this: It’s your food. It’s your drink. It’s your freedom.
