Vegans Try to Ban Hot Dogs in Schools

In an effort to garner headlines and impose its vegan agenda on our nation’s youth, the guileful Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) has brought a lawsuit against the Los Angeles and Poway Unified School Districts for serving hot dogs in their cafeterias.

Citing dubious data from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), which also gave the same rating to sun exposure and pollution, PCRM filed a lawsuit demanding that red and processed meat not be allowed in school prepared meals. However, the parent organization of the IARC – the World Health Organization (WHO) – clarified the IARC report saying that the IARC did not advocate the cessation of eating these meats.

This is yet another example of animal-rights activists litigating their radical vegan agenda through our kids’ lunch menu instead of taking their case to the voters – because they know they’d be laughed out of the voting booth. When it comes to children’s food, the PCRM takes “nanny state” to a whole new level. Next, they’ll be seeking to cancel outdoor recess.
