Coffee Gets a Break

New scientific studies strongly endorse coffee’s many benefits while rejecting older caffeine/coffee warnings as “false alarms.”

According to the American Dietetic Association, not only does drinking three cups of java per day pose no risk, but there are measurable health benefits. These include increased mental alertness and improved brain calcium levels.

University of Texas researchers made headlines with their so-called “Irish Coffee” study. “We found that if we fed a combination of alcohol and caffeine [to lab animals]… there’s almost complete protection from stroke,” they stated.

A study published in the International Journal of Sports Medicine found that as little as one cup of coffee per day improved long-term memory, while two cups improved attention, memory and coordination.
