Of course the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine is lashing out at McDonald’s for adding chicken to its salads. What do you expect from an animal rights group?

That’s right. PCRM is not a legitimate medical charity. It’s a front group for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. PETA has already funneled over $850,000 of its tax-exempt money to PCRM. The two organizations share offices, staff and financial accounting. The animal-rights watchdog newspaper Animal People News calls the two groups “a single fund-raising unit” and accuses them of attempting to “evade public recognition of their relationship.”

When activists put on the sheep’s clothing of the medical profession, it becomes harder and harder to know who’s credible.
