When, oh when, will reporters stop referring to the so-called “Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine” as a medical group (“AG’s office investigating Chandler council’s approval of Covance lab,” March 12)?

The animal rights organization is many things, but it’s not a “physicians group.” Less than 4 percent of its members went to medical school. And two-thirds of its $9 million budget now comes directly from the wealthy president of the Animal Rights Foundation of Florida (who is also PETA’s biggest donor).

How about a little truth in labeling?
